“We attempt to peak at the tip of September and October, because that’s our goal to complete strong for the state tournament,” Recent Trier coach Pete Drevline said. “We sit up for the tip of the 12 months and heading into regionals. That’s once we play our greatest golf.”

“The important thing to this squad is chemistry,” he said. “We all know we’re pretty good golfers. We’re defending a state championship so there’s going to be a goal on our back. It’s just really coming out here and staying focused for 18 holes and today they did that. The outcomes speak for themselves.”

He added, “The groundwork has been laid by our previous teams and all of the players who’ve come through and set the bar high. … We now have a high standard at Recent Trier, and it’s a credit to those guys and on a regular basis and energy they put into playing golf. Their goal is to be a state champion.”
