The Record North Shore is searching for a university undergraduate with a passion for mission-based, community-first journalism for a paid summer internship.
Within the 10- to 12-week program, the intern will work with The Record‘s team to supply meaningful community news for the northern suburbs of Chicago.
The position is a hybrid of distant and in-person work, and responsibilities include every little thing from interviewing and reporting to digital publishing and photography.
• Hours (full-time): 30-40 per week (hours of the day will vary)
• Duration: 10-12 weeks (End May-August)
• Pay: $15/hour
The Record is a nonprofit, independent hyperlocal newsroom that publishes responsible journalism through its day by day website, and weekly newsletters and podcasts. Our coverage area comprises the five primary communities of Recent Trier Township and Highland Park. We deal with impactful civic reporting, in addition to community profiles and features and native sports coverage.
