Foster puppy ‘Buzz’ taken from backyard in Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, In poor health. — A foster puppy was stolen from a backyard in Lake County, Illinois late Wednesday night.

“Buzz,” a black lab and shepherd mix, was stolen from a house near Highland Avenue and Woodland Avenue in unincorporated Antioch.

It took place within the subdivision behind Bootlegger’s Bar and Grill. He was last seen being put right into a grey Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

Heartland Animal Shelter is pleading with the general public for information on the puppy.

They told WGN News just a few years ago, two dogs were stolen from the shelter and public outcry led to their return per week later.

They’re hoping the identical thing happens with “Buzz,” who is sort of 4 months old.

Anyone with information can email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org or by calling the shelter at 847-296-6400.
